Section 1

(1) The Order may be cited as the Crime (International Co-operation) Act 2003 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2004.

(2) In this Order “ the Act ” means the Crime (International Co-operation) Act 2003.

Section 2

Sections 49 to 51 of the Act shall come into force on 26th March 2004.

Section 3

(1) The following provisions of the Act shall come into force on 26th April 2004.

(2) Those provisions are—

sections 1 to 9;

sections 13 to 19, together with Schedule 1;

sections 26 to 31, together with Schedule 2;

sections 47 and 48;

sections 52 and 53;

sections 80 to 85;

section 88;

section 91;

paragraphs 1 to 4, 7 to 16, 38 to 44, 61 to 71, 75 to 83 of Schedule 5; and

the entries in Schedule 6 which are listed in paragraph (3).

(3) The entries in Schedule 6 (repeals) are those relating to—

the Criminal Justice Act 1987 ;

the Criminal Justice (International Co-operation) Act 1990 ;

the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 ;

the Criminal Law (Consolidation) (Scotland) Act 1995 ;

the Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001 ; and

the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 .
