Section 1Citation and commencement

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Paternity and Adoption Leave (Amendment) Regulations 2004 and shall come into force on 6th April 2004.

(2) In these Regulations, “The Principal Regulations ” means the Paternity and Adoption Leave Regulations 2002 .

Section 2Amendments to the Principal Regulations

The Principal Regulations shall be amended as provided in regulations 3 and 4.

Section 3Amendments to the Principal Regulations

Omit paragraph (3)(b) of regulation 17 (notice and evidential requirements for ordinary adoption leave).

Section 4Amendments to the Principal Regulations

In paragraph (b) of regulation 27(1) (incidents of the right to return from adoption leave) omit “as to remuneration”.
