Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Carers (Equal Opportunities) Act 2004 (Isles of Scilly) Order 2005 and shall come into force on 28th April 2005.

Section 2 Application of section 3 of the Carers (Equal Opportunities) Act 2004 to the Isles of Scilly

Section 3 of the Carers (Equal Opportunities) Act 2004 (co-operation between authorities) shall, in its application to the Isles of Scilly, have effect with the modifications that—

(a) except for the reference in subsection (5)(a), any reference to a local authority shall, in relation to the Isles of Scilly, be construed as a reference to the Council of the Isles of Scilly;

(b) subsection (5)(a) shall, in relation to a request made by the Council of the Isles of Scilly, have effect as if the word “other” is omitted; and

(c) in relation to a request made by a local authority, the list of authorities in subsection (5) shall be construed as including the Council of the Isles of Scilly.
