Section 1 Citation and Interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the Horserace Betting and Olympic Lottery Act 2004 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2005.

(2) In this Order “ the Act ” means the Horserace Betting and Olympic Lottery Act 2004.

Section 2 Commencement

The following provisions of the Act shall come into force on 8th April 2005:

sections 14, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 28, 33, 35, 36, 37 and 39;

subsections (1) to (5), (7), (8), (9)(a), (9)(b), (10) and (11) of section 34;

section 38 but only to the extent it relates to the provisions of Schedule 6 specified below;

in Schedule 6 the repeal of sections 21(2), 22(3)(e) and 30 of the National Lottery etc Act 1993.
