Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the Hammersmith Hospitals National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Amendment Order 2005 and shall come into force on 11th February 2005.

(2) In this Order, “the Establishment Order ” means the Hammersmith Hospitals National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1994 .

Section 2 Amendment of nature and functions of the trust

(1) In article 3(1) of the Establishment Order (nature and functions of the trust) “5(1)(a)” shall be replaced by “5(1)”.

(2) Article 3(2) of the Establishment Order (nature and functions of the trust) shall be replaced by the following—

(2) The trust’s functions shall be to provide goods and services, namely hospital accommodation and services, for the purposes of the health service.

Section 3 Increase in the number of non-executive directors of the trust

In article 4(1) of the Establishment Order (directors of the trust) “5 non-executive directors” shall be replaced by “6 non-executive directors”.
