Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Drugs Act 2005 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2005.

Section 2

(1) The provisions of the Drugs Act 2005 which are specified in paragraph (2) shall come into force on 1st September 2005.

(2) The provisions specified for the purposes of paragraph (1) are—

(a) section 23(1) (amendments and repeals) in so far as it relates to the entries at sub-paragraph (c) below;

(b) section 23(2) (amendments and repeals) in so far as it relates to the entry at sub-paragraph (d) below;

(c) paragraphs 6 and 7 of Schedule 1 (amendments); and

(d) in Schedule 2 (repeals), the entry relating to section 38 of the Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001 .
