Section 1 Citation, commencement and application

(1) These Regulations may be cited as The Child Minding and Day Care (Applications for Registration) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2005 and shall come into force on 3 rd October 2005.

(2) These Regulations apply only in relation to England.

Section 2 Amendment of Regulations

The Child Minding and Day Care (Applications for Registration) (England) Regulations 2001 shall be amended in accordance with regulations 3 to 7.

Section 3 Amendment of Regulations

For regulation 2 substitute the following—

(2) In these Regulations “responsible individual” has the same meaning as in section 79B (5ZA) of the Children Act 1989 .

Section 4 Amendment of Regulations

For paragraph 1D of the Schedule substitute the following—

(1D) The date of birth, full name and any former names or aliases of any responsible individual.

Section 5 Amendment of Regulations

For paragraph 2 of the Schedule substitute the following—

(2) The address of the premises at which the children are to be looked after and the addresses of the applicant and any responsible individual.

Section 6 Amendment of Regulations

In paragraphs 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 16 of the Schedule for “person in charge” substitute “responsible individual”.

Section 7 Amendment of Regulations

Omit paragraph 15 of the Schedule.
