Section 1Citation and commencement
These Regulations may be cited as the Water and Sewerage Undertakers (Inset Appointments) Regulations 2005 and shall come into force on 1st April 2005.

Section 2Amendment of the Water Industry Act 1991
(1) The Water Industry Act 1991 is amended as follows.
(2) In section 7(5)(a)(ii) (continuity of appointments, replacement appointments etc. ), “50 megalitres” is substituted for “100 megalitres”.
(3) In section 158(9)(b) (powers to lay pipes in streets), “50 megalitres” is substituted for “100 megalitres”.
