Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Bus Lane Contraventions (Approved Local Authorities) (England) Order 2005 and shall come into force on 1st November 2005.

Section 2 Approved local authorities

Each authority listed in column (1) of the Schedule to this Order, whose area is wholly or partially designated by order under paragraphs 1(1) and 2(1) of Schedule 3 to the Road Traffic Act 1991 (permitted and special parking areas outside London) , of which the reference number is given in column (2) of the Schedule, is an approved local authority for the purposes of section 144 of the Transport Act 2000 (civil penalties for bus lane contraventions).
