These Regulations may be cited as the Royal Parks (Establishment of Eligibility for Transfer and Termination of Employment) Regulations 2005 and shall come into force on 10th November 2005.

The Royal Parks (Establishment of Eligibility for Transfer and Termination of Employment) Regulations 2005
Every person who, on the date on which these Regulations come into force, is serving as a park constable with the Royal Parks Constabulary shall comply with the requirements set out in regulation 3 for the purposes of establishing whether he is eligible—
(a) to be employed by the Authority, or
(b) to serve as a member of the police force for the metropolitan police district.
(1) The requirements referred to in regulation 2 are—
(a) to provide such information, and
(b) to submit to such medical or eyesight examinations,
as are necessary for the Authority to determine whether the person satisfies the qualifications for appointment to a police force set out in regulation 10(1)(b), (d), (e) and (h) of the Police Regulations 2003 (qualifications for appointment to a police force).
(2) The information required by paragraph (1)(a) shall be provided on or before 25th November 2005.
(3) If further information is necessary for the Authority to make the determination mentioned in paragraph (1) because the information provided in accordance with paragraph (2) is incomplete or insufficient, or if a medical or eyesight examination is necessary, the further information shall be provided, and the examination shall take place, within a reasonable time after 25th November 2005.
The following persons shall not be eligible for compensation for early retirement or severance under schemes made under section 1 of the Superannuation Act 1972 —
(a) any person whose Crown employment is terminated under paragraph 3(1) of Schedule 13 to the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005 as a consequence of failing to comply with any requirement imposed on him by regulations 2 and 3; and
(b) any person who is eligible to serve as a member of the police force of the metropolitan police district whose Crown employment is terminated as a result of a provision in a transfer scheme made under Schedule 13 to that Act of the kind described in paragraph 4(2)(f) of that Schedule.
