Section 1Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Reporting of Suspicious Civil Partnerships Regulations 2005 and shall come into force on 5th December 2005.

(2) In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires “the 1999 Act ” means the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999.

Section 2Reporting of suspicious civil partnerships

For the purpose of section 24A of the 1999 Act (duty to report suspicious civil partnerships) the person concerned shall—

(a) report his suspicions to the Secretary of State by making a report in writing or other permanent form giving the information specified in the Schedule to these Regulations, and

(b) forward that report to the Home Office, National Intelligence Unit, PO Box 1000, Hayes, Middlesex UB3 5WB or, where the Secretary of State has notified the Registrar General of another address to be used in relation to any particular registration authority, that address.
