Section 1Citation, commencement, interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the Navy and Marines (Property of Deceased) (Amendment) Order 2005 and shall come into force on the 5th December 2005.

(2) In this Order “the 1956 Order” means the Navy and Marines (Property of Deceased) Order 1956 .

Section 2Amendment of the 1956 Order

The 1956 Order shall be amended as follows:

In article 24(b) of the 1956 Order for the word “Widow” there shall be substituted “Widow, widower or surviving civil partner”.
