Section 1 Citation and commencement and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the Naval Medical Compassionate Fund (Amendment) Order 2005 and shall come into force on 5th December 2005.

(2) In this Order “the principal Order” means the Order in Council approving Standing Orders and Regulations for the Government of the Naval Medical Compassionate Fund (1915), and, except where the context otherwise requires, a reference to a numbered article is to the article in the principal Order which bears that number.

Section 2 Amendment to Article 9 of the principal Order

For “Widowers and Widows” (in each place) substitute “surviving spouse or surviving civil partner”.
