Section 1Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Financial Promotion) (Amendment) Order 2005 and comes into force on 21st December 2005.

Section 2Amendment of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Financial Promotion) Order 2005

(1) The Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Financial Promotion) Order 2005 is amended as follows.
(2) In article 2(1), in the definition of “close relative”, after “spouse” (in both places) insert “or civil partner”.
(3) In article 20(5)(c), after “spouse” insert “or civil partner”.
(4) In article 60(2)(a)(ii), after “widowers” insert “, civil partners, surviving civil partners”.
