Section 1 Citation, commencement and application

(1) This Order may be cited as the Derbyshire (Coroners' Districts) (Amendment) Order 2005.

(2) This order shall come into force on 1 st February 2006.

(3) This Order shall not have effect in relation to any inquest begun before the day on which it comes into force or to any post-mortem examination which, before that day, a coroner has directed or requested a medical practitioner to make.

Section 2 Amendment to the Derbyshire (Coroner’s Districts) Order 1974

The existing High Peak Coroner’s District and Scarsdale Coroner’s District, as set out in the Schedule to the Derbyshire (Coroner’s Districts) Order 1974 (“the 1974 Order ”), shall be amalgamated to form a single Coroner’s District called The North Derbyshire Coroner’s District.
