Section 1Citation, commencement, application and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the General Medical Services and Personal Medical Services Transitional and Consequential Provisions (Amendment) Order 2005 and shall come into force on 1st April 2005.

(2) This Order applies in relation to England only.

(3) In this Order, “the Transitional Order ” means the General Medical Services and Personal Medical Services Transitional and Consequential Provisions Order 2004 .

Section 2Amendment of article 105 of the Transitional Order

In article 105 of the Transitional Order (details to be included on prescription forms etc. ), in paragraph (1), for “31st March 2005” substitute “31st March 2006”.

Section 3Amendment of article 110 of the Transitional Order

In article 110 of the Transitional Order (meaning of suitable experience), for “Until the coming into force of article 5 of the 2003 Order,” substitute “Until either the establishment of the General Practitioner Register pursuant to article 10(1) of the 2003 Order or the coming into force of paragraphs 21 and 22 of Schedule 8 to that Order, whichever occurs first,”.
