Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 2005 and shall come into force on 1st April 2005.

Section 2 Amendments to the Merchant Shipping (Fees) Regulations 1996

(1) The Merchant Shipping (Fees) Regulations 1996 are amended as follows.

(2) In regulation 5(2), for the words following “the hourly rate of” there is substituted “£36”.

(3) In the Schedule, in Part I—

(a) in paragraph 2(2)(a), for the words following “the hourly rate of” there is substituted “£36”; and

(b) in paragraph 2(2)(b) for “£50” there is substituted “£75”.
