Section 1 Citation, commencement, application and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Commission for Healthcare Audit and Inspection (Fees and Frequency of Inspections) (Amendment) Regulations 2005 and shall come into force on 1st April 2005.

(2) These Regulations apply in relation to England only.

(3) In these Regulations, “the principal Regulations ” means the Commission for Healthcare Audit and Inspection (Fees and Frequency of Inspection) Regulations 2004 .

Section 2 Amendment of regulation 3 of the principal Regulations

Regulation 3 of the principal Regulations (registration fees) is amended as follows—

(a) in paragraph (1), for “£1,584” substitute “£2,376”;

(b) in paragraph (2), for “£432” substitute “£648”; and

(c) in paragraph (3), for “£432” substitute “£648”.

Section 3 Amendment of regulation 4 of the principal Regulations

Regulation 4 of the principal Regulations (variation fees) is amended as follows—

(a) in paragraph (1), for “£792” substitute “£1,188”;

(b) in paragraph (2), for “£432” substitute “£648”; and

(c) in paragraph (3), for “£72” substitute “£108”.

Section 4 Amendment of regulation 5 of the principal Regulations

In regulation 5 of the principal Regulations (annual fees), in the Table—

(a) in the entry relating to a hospice—
