Section 1Citation and commencement

These Rules may be cited as the Patents (Translations) Rules 2005 and shall come into force on 6th April 2005.

Section 2Translations

The appointed day for the purpose of rule 3 shall be the day of the coming into force of the Agreement on the application of Article 65 of the Convention on the Grant of European Patents made in London on 17th October 2000 .

Section 3Translations

Section 77(6) of the Patents Act 1977 shall cease to have effect on the appointed day.
