The A1 Trunk Road (Northumberland and Tyne and Wear, Various Locations and Detrunking) Order 2005

Section 1

This Order may be cited as the A1 Trunk Road (Northumberland and Tyne and Wear, Various Locations and Detrunking) Order 2005 and shall come into force on 1st March 2005.

Section 2

In this Order—

(1) all measurements of distance are measured along the route of the relevant highway;

(2)

(i) “the new trunk roads” means the length of highway referred to in article 3(a) of this Order;

(ii) “the plan” means the plan numbered HA 10/OD/479 marked “The A1 Trunk Road (Northumberland and Tyne and Wear, Various Locations and Detrunking) Order 2005”, signed by authority of the Secretary of State for Transport and deposited at ODPM-DfT Records Management Branch, Floor 13 (IMD), Ashdown House, St Leonards on Sea, Hastings, East Sussex TN37 7GA;

(iii) “the trunk road” means the Trunk Road between the junction opposite the Police House and the junction to Heighley Cottage.

Section 3

From the date when this Order comes into force:

(a) the lengths of highways described in Schedule 1 to this Order shall become trunk roads, and

(b) the length of the trunk road described in Schedule 2 to this Order shall cease to be a trunk road.

Section 4

The centre line of each of the trunk roads is indicated by a heavy black line on the plan.
