Section 1
(1) This Order may be cited as the Electoral Law Act (Northern Ireland) 1962 (Amendment) Order 2005.
(2) This Order shall come into force on the day after the day on which it is made.

Section 2
Section 11(1A) of the Electoral Law Act (Northern Ireland) 1962 (date of local elections) shall be amended by the substitution of the words “first Thursday in May” for the words “third Wednesday in May”.
