Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Scotland Act 1998 (Agency Arrangements) (Specification) Order 2006 and shall come into force on 10th June 2006.

Section 2 Interpretation

In this Order “relevant authorities” shall be construed in accordance with section 6 of the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 .

Section 3 Specification of functions

The functions exercisable by the Scottish Ministers under section 47(1)(a) and (b) of the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 (requirements concerning equipment and services), in so far as those functions may be exercised by Scottish Ministers to enter into a contract for the provision of a radio system for relevant authorities, are hereby specified for the purposes of section 93(1) of the Scotland Act 1998.
