Section 1 Citation, commencement and extent

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Police (Promotion) (Amendment) Regulations 2006, and shall come into force on 1 st July 2006.

(2) These Regulations extend to England and Wales.

Section 2 Amendment of the Police (Promotion) Regulations 1996

In Schedule 1 to the Police (Promotion) Regulations 1996 —

(a) in paragraph 5(1A), after “rank of sergeant”, delete “in that year”, and

(b) in paragraph 5(3A), after “rank of inspector”, delete “in that year”.
