Section 1Citation and commencement
This Order may be cited as the Education (Designated Institutions) Order 2006 and shall come into force on 1st August 2006.

Section 2Designation of institutions
The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, being an institution which appears to the Secretary of State to fall within section 129(2) of the Education Reform Act 1988, is designated as an institution eligible to receive support from funds administered by the Higher Education Funding Council for England .
