Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Motor Vehicles (EC Type Approval) (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 2006 and shall come into force on 30th July 2006.

(2) In these Regulations, “the principal Regulations ” means the Motor Vehicles (EC Type Approval) Regulations 1998 .

Section 2 Amendment of regulation 3 (interpretation)

In regulation 3(1) of the principal Regulations, in the definition of “the Framework Directive” after the words “Commission Directive 2004/104/EC ”, there shall be inserted “, and, in addition, by the amendments effected by Commission Directives 2005/49/EC , dated 25th July 2005, and 2006/28/EC , dated 6th March 2006”.

Section 3 Amendments of Schedule 1 (separate Directives)

(1) The table in Schedule 1 to the principal Regulations shall be amended as follows.
