Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Climate Change Agreements (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 2006 and shall come into force on the day after the one on which they are made.

Section 2 Amendment of the Table in paragraph 51 of Schedule 6 to the Finance Act 2000

(1) The fifth entry in the Table in paragraph 51 of Schedule 6 to the Finance Act 2000 shall be amended as follows.

(2) In paragraph (2)(b)(i), after the words “paragraph (b)(i)” insert “or (ii)”.

(3) Omit paragraph (2)(b)(ii) and (iii).

(4) After paragraph (2)(c)(ii) insert—

(iia) in the interpretation of Section 5.1, in relation to the definitions of “co-incineration plant” and “incineration plant”, the final nine words in the sentence beginning “This definition covers;

(5) After paragraph (2)(d)(ix) insert—

(ixa) Part A(1) of Section 3.6;

(6) In paragraph (2)(d)(xii) for “(d)” substitute “(c)”.

(7) After paragraph (2)(d)(xii) insert—

(xiai) paragraphs (a) and (c) of Part A(2) of Section 5.1;

Section 3 Amendment of the Climate Change Agreements (Energy-intensive Installations) Regulations 2006

At the end of the Schedule to the Climate Change Agreements (Energy-intensive Installations) Regulations 2006 add—

(8) An installation not otherwise covered by paragraph 51 of Schedule 6 to the Finance Act 2000.
