Section 1Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Parliamentary Pensions (Amendment) (No.2) Regulations 2006.
(2) These Regulations come into force on 18th August 2006.
(3) Regulation 2 has effect from 5th July 2006.
(4) In these Regulations “the Contributory Fund Regulations ” means the Parliamentary Pensions (Consolidation and Amendment) Regulations 1993 .

Section 2Amendment of the Contributory Fund Regulations

(1) Paragraph (3) of regulation C3 of the Contributory Fund Regulations (membership for office holders) is amended as follows.
(2) In sub-paragraph (b) omit “and”.
(3) After paragraph (b) insert “(ba) the office of Speaker of the House of Lords; and”.
