Section 1 Title, commencement and application

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Environmental Stewardship (England) and Organic Products (Amendment) Regulations 2006 and come into force on 4 th September 2006.

(2) Subject to paragraph (3) these Regulations apply in relation to the United Kingdom.

(3) Regulation 3 applies in relation to England only.

Section 3 Amendments to the Environmental Stewardship (England) Regulations 2005

Regulation 2 (interpretation) of the Environmental Stewardship (England) Regulations 2005 is amended as follows—

(a) in the definition of “Council Regulation”, for “as last amended by Commission Regulation (EC) No. 2254/2004 ”, substitute “ as last amended by Commission Regulation (EC) No. 780/2006 ” ; and

(b) in the definition of “Compendium of UK Organic Standards”, for “July 2005” substitute “ September 2006 ” .

Section 4 Revocation

The Environmental Stewardship (England) and Organic Products (Amendment) Regulations 2005 are revoked.
