This Order—
(a) may be cited as the Specified Diseases (Notification and Slaughter) Order 2006;
(b) comes into force on 29th August 2006;
(c) applies in England only.

In article 2(1) (application of section 32 of the Animal Health Act 1981) of the Specified Diseases (Notification and Slaughter) Order 1992 after “Epizootic haemorrhagic virus disease” insert “Equine infectious anaemia”.
Section 3Amendment of the Specified Diseases (Notification) Order 1996
In Part I of Schedule 1 (specified diseases) to the Specified Diseases (Notification) Order 1996 after “Epizootic haemorrhagic virus disease” insert “Equine infectious anaemia”.
