Section 1

This Scheme may be cited as the M56 Motorway (Hapsford to Lea-by-Backford Section) and Connecting Roads Scheme 1976 (Partial Revocation) Scheme 2006 and shall come into force on 1st September 2006.

Section 2

The M56 Motorway (Hapsford to Lea-by-Backford Section) and Connecting Roads Scheme 1976 is hereby partially revoked. The length of motorway to be revoked is set out in the schedule to this Scheme and is shown by a heavy black line on the deposited plan.

Section 3

In this Scheme—

(a) All measurements of distance are measured along the route of the relevant highway;

(b)

(i) “the M56” means the M56 Motorway

(ii) “the plan” means the plan folio numbered HA 10/MP/066 marked “The M56 Motorway (Hapsford to Lea-by-Backford Section) and Connecting Roads Scheme 1976 (Partial Revocation) Scheme 2006” signed by authority of the Secretary of State for Transport and deposited at the offices of the Highways Agency, City Tower, Piccadilly Plaza, Piccadilly, Manchester, M1 4BE.
