Section 1Citation and interpretation
(1) This Order may be cited as the Social Security Act 1998 (Commencement No. 14) Order 2006.
(2) In this Order, “the 1998 Act ” means the Social Security Act 1998.

Section 2Appointed day
The day appointed for the coming into force of section 67 of the 1998 Act (daily rate of maternity allowance) is 1st October 2006, in respect of women whose expected week of confinement falls on or after 1st April 2007.
