Section 1 Citation and commencement

(1) This Order may be cited as the Borough of Tunbridge Wells (Electoral Changes) (Amendment) Order 2006.

(2) This Order comes into force—

(a) for the purpose of proceedings preliminary or relating to the elections of parish councillors for the parish of Southborough, to be held on the ordinary day of election of councillors in 2007, on 15th October 2006;

(b) for all other purposes, on the ordinary day of election of councillors in 2007.

Section 2 Amendment to the 2001 Order

(1) The Borough of Tunbridge Wells (Electoral Changes) Order 2001 shall be amended as follows:

(2) In article 6(2) and 6(3) the words “Southborough East and High Brooms” shall be substituted for the words “Southborough and High Brooms”.

(3) In article 6(3) the word “six” shall be substituted for the word “five” and the word “five” shall be substituted for the word “six”.
