Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as Closures Guidance (Railway Services in England and Wales) Order 2006 and shall come into force on 1st December 2006.

(2) In this Order, “ the Act ” means the Railways Act 2005.

Section 2 Closures guidance

The closures guidance dated 18th October 2006 and laid before Parliament on 24th October 2006 is to have effect in relation to—

(1) the proposals referred to in section 42(3) of the Act; and

(2) the proposals referred to in section 42(4) of the Act.
