These Regulations may be cited as the M53 Motorway (Bidston Moss Viaduct)(50 Miles per Hour Speed Limit) Regulations 2006, and shall come into force on 12th December 2006.

The M53 Motorway (Bidston Moss Viaduct)(50 Miles per Hour Speed Limit) Regulations 2006
No person shall drive a motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 50 miles per hour along—
(a) the northbound or southbound carriageways of the M53 motorway at Junction 1 (Bidston Moss Viaduct) for a distance of 560 metres from Marker Post 8/2 to a point 60 metres south of Marker Post 8/7;
(b) the northbound exit slip road at Junction 1 (Bidston Moss Viaduct) of the M53 motorway from the point where the slip road leaves the northbound carriageway of that Motorway to the point where the slip road joins with the A5139, a length of 104 metres; and
(c) the southbound entry slip road at Junction 1 (Bidston Moss Viaduct) of the M53 Motorway from the point where the slip road leaves the A5139 to the point where the slip road joins with the southbound carriageway of that Motorway, a length of 120 metres.
