Section 1 Citation and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the Pensions Act 2004 (Commencement No. 9) Order 2006.

(2) In this Order “ the Act ” means the Pensions Act 2004.

Section 2 Appointed days

(1) The day appointed for the coming into force of the provisions of the Act specified in Part 1 of the Schedule—

(a) for the purpose only of conferring power to make regulations, is 9th March 2006;

(b) for all other purposes, is 6th April 2006.

(2) The day appointed for the coming into force of the provisions of the Act specified in Part 2 of the Schedule is 1st April 2006.

(3) The day appointed for the coming into force of the provisions of the Act specified in Part 3 of the Schedule is 6th April 2006.
