Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Railways Pensions Guarantee (Prescribed Persons) Order 2007 and shall come into force on 1st August 2007.

Section 2 Prescribed persons

For the purpose of determining whether the 1994 Pensioners’ Section of the Railways Pension Scheme satisfies the conditions in paragraph 11(3) of Schedule 11 to the Railways Act 1993 there shall be disregarded the membership of that section of any persons admitted to membership of that section with effect from 30th December 2000 who were formerly members of the BR Section of the Railways Pension Scheme.
