The Armed Forces (Service Police Amendments) Order 2007

Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Armed Forces (Service Police Amendments) Order 2007 and shall come into force on the day after that on which it is made.

Section 2

The Schedule to this Order shall have effect.

Section 1 Amendment of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 (Application to the Armed Forces) Order 1997

(1) The Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 (Application to the Armed Forces) Order 1997 is amended as follows—

(a) In column 2 of the Schedule, for “Royal Navy Regulating Branch” substitute “Royal Navy Police”.

Section 2 Amendment of the Crime and Disorder Strategies (Prescribed Descriptions) Order 1998

(1) The Crime and Disorder Strategies (Prescribed Descriptions) Order 1998 is amended as follows—

(a) In Article 3(4), for “Royal Navy Regulating Branch” substitute “Royal Navy Police”.

Section 3 Amendment of the Regulation of Investigatory Powers (Directed Surveillance and Covert Human Intelligence Sources) Order 2003

(1) The Regulation of Investigatory Powers (Directed Surveillance and Covert Human Intelligence Sources) Order 2003 is amended as follows—

(a) In column 1 of Part I of the Schedule for “Royal Navy Regulating Branch” substitute “Royal Navy Police”.

Section 4 Amendment of the Armed Forces (Entry, Search and Seizure) Order 2003

(1) The Armed Forces (Entry, Search and Seizure) Order 2003 is amended as follows—

(a) In Article 13(8)(a), for “Royal Navy Regulating Branch” substitute “Royal Navy Police”.

Section 5 Amendment of the Regulation of Investigatory Powers (Communications Data) Order 2003

(1) The Regulation of Investigatory Powers (Communications Data) Order 2003 is amended as follows—

(a) In Article 2(2), column 2 of Schedule 1, S63A(1B) and S65 of Schedule 3 for “Royal Navy Regulating Branch” substitute “Royal Navy Police”.
