Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the National Minimum Wage Act 1998 (Amendment) Regulations 2007 and shall come into force on the day after the day on which they are made.

Section 2 Amendment of section 3 of the National Minimum Wage Act 1998

(1) Section 3(1A) of the National Minimum Wage Act 1998 is amended as follows.

(2) The “or” at the end of paragraph (d) is omitted.

(3) In paragraph (e), for “attending” substitute “undertaking”.

(4) At the end of that paragraph add—

or

(f) undertaking a course of further education requiring attendance for a period of work experience.
