These Rules may be cited as the Family Proceedings Courts (Constitution of Committees and Right to Preside) (Amendment) Rules 2007 and shall come into force on 1st October 2007.

The Family Proceedings Courts (Constitution of Committees and Right to Preside) (Amendment) Rules 2007
The Family Proceedings Courts (Constitution of Committees and Right to Preside) Rules 2007 are amended in accordance with rule 3.
In rule 7—
(1) for paragraph (1) substitute—
(1) In this rule, “previous chairman” means a family justice who has held office as chairman of a family panel established under these Rules.
(2) in paragraph (4) omit “, or of an outgoing panel or combined outgoing panel,”; and
(3) after paragraph (4) insert—
(5) For the purposes of this rule no periods of office held as chairman or deputy chairman, as the case may be, of an outgoing panel or combined outgoing panel shall be taken into account in determining eligibility for re-election as chairman or deputy chairman.
