Section 1 Citation

This Order may be cited as the Private Hire Vehicles (Carriage of Guide Dogs etc.) Act 2002 (Commencement No. 1) (Northern Ireland) Order 2007.

Section 2 Commencement of Act

In so far as the Private Hire Vehicles (Carriage of Guide Dogs etc.) Act 2002 applies to a private hire vehicle licensed by the Department of the Environment in Northern Ireland it shall come into force as follows—

(a) on 1st January 2008, section 1 in so far as it relates to—

(i) subsections (5), (6), (7) and (9) of section 37A of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 ;

(ii) the power to make regulations under subsection (8) of that section; and

(iii) sections 3 and 4; and

(b) on 1st June 2008, section 1 for all other purposes.
