Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Disability Discrimination Code of Practice (Trade Organisations and Qualifications Bodies) (Revocation) Order 2008 and comes into force on 23rd June 2008.

Section 2 Revocation

Subject to article 3, the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 Code of Practice for Trade Organisations and Qualifications Bodies ( ISBN 0-11-703418-5) referred to in the Disability Discrimination Codes of Practice (Employment and Occupation, and Trade Organisations and Qualifications Bodies) Appointed Day Order 2004 is revoked.

Section 3 Transitional provision

The Code of Practice referred to in article 2 is to continue to have effect for the purposes of section 15(4)(b) of the Equality Act 2006 to the extent that any proceedings (whenever commenced) relate to a complaint alleging that a person has, before 23rd June 2008, committed an act of unlawful discrimination under Part 2 of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 .
