Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Maximum Number of Judges Order 2008, and comes into force on the day after the day on which it is made.

Section 2 Amendment increasing the maximum number of ordinary judges of the Court of Appeal

In section 2(1) of the Supreme Court Act 1981 (which specifies the maximum number of ordinary judges of the Court of Appeal) for the words from “not more” to the end substitute “not more than 38 ordinary judges.”.
