Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Export Control (Democratic Republic of Congo) (Amendment) (No. 2) Order 2008 and shall come into force on 24th July 2008.

Section 2

The Export Control (Democratic Republic of Congo) Order 2005 is amended as follows.

Section 3

In article 1(2), in the definition of “the Regulation” after the words “26 November 2007” insert “and Council Regulation (EC) No 666/2008 of 15 July 2008 ”.

Section 4

In Article 3, for the words “any person, entity or body in, or for use in, the Democratic Republic of Congo” substitute the words “any non-governmental person, entity or body operating in the territory of the Democratic Republic of Congo” where they appear in paragraph (a) and (b).
