Section 1Citation and commencement
These Regulations may be cited as the Merchant Shipping and Fishing Vessels (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment) (Amendment) Regulations 2008 and shall come into force on 8th September 2008.

In regulation 11(2) of the Merchant Shipping and Fishing Vessels (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment) Regulations 2006 , after “lifting equipment” insert “(other than an accessory for lifting)”.
