Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Civil Enforcement of Parking Contraventions (The County Council of Durham) (Durham District) Designation Order 2008 and shall come into force on 3rd November 2008.

Section 2 Designation of civil enforcement area and special enforcement area

(1) The Secretary of State designates the area described in paragraph (2) as—

(a) a civil enforcement area for parking contraventions; and

(b) a special enforcement area.

(2) This Order applies to the area of Durham District with the exception of—

(a) the section of the A1M that lies within the area; and

(b) the slip roads and circulatory carriageways at junctions 61 and 62 of that section.
