(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Allocation of Housing (England)(Amendment)(Family Intervention Tenancies) Regulations 2008 and shall come into force on 1 st January 2009.
(2) These Regulations apply in England only.

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Allocation of Housing (England)(Amendment)(Family Intervention Tenancies) Regulations 2008 and shall come into force on 1 st January 2009.
(2) These Regulations apply in England only.
(1) The Allocation of Housing (England) Regulations 2002 are amended in accordance with paragraphs (2) and (3).
(2) In regulation 2 (interpretation), after the definition of “the Common Travel Area”, insert the following definition—
“family intervention tenancy”—
in relation to a tenancy granted by a local housing authority, has the meaning given by paragraph 4ZA(3) of Schedule 1 to the Housing Act 1985 ;
in relation to a tenancy granted by a registered social landlord, has the meaning given by paragraph 12ZA(3) of Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the Housing Act 1988 .
(3) In regulation 3 (cases where the provisions of Part 6 of the Act do not apply), after paragraph (3) insert—
(4) They do not apply in relation to the allocation of housing accommodation by a local housing authority to a person who lawfully occupies accommodation let on a family intervention tenancy.
