Section 1Citation and commencement
This Order may be cited as the Immigration (Biometric Registration) (Civil Penalty Code of Practice) Order 2008 and shall come into force on the day after the day on which it is made.

Section 2Coming into force of the Code of Practice
The code of practice entitled “Code of practice about the sanctions for non-compliance with the biometric registration regulations”, laid before Parliament in draft on 11 th June 2008, relating to the imposition of a penalty under section 9(1) of the UK Borders Act 2007, shall come into force on the day that this Order comes into force.
