Section 1 Citation, commencement and application

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Service (Dental Charges) Amendment Regulations 2008 and shall come into force on 1st April 2008.

(2) These Regulations apply in relation to England.

Section 2 Interpretation

In these Regulations, “the Dental Charges Regulations ” means the National Health Service (Dental Charges) Regulations 2005 .

Section 3 Amendment of the Dental Charges Regulations

(1) The Dental Charges Regulations are amended as follows.

(2) In regulation 4 (calculation of charges)—

(a) in paragraph (1), for £15.90 substitute £16.20;

(b) in paragraph (2), for £43.60 substitute £44.60;

(c) in paragraph (3), for £194.00 substitute £198.00;

(d) in paragraph (4), for £194.00 substitute £198.00; and

(e) in paragraph (5), for £15.90 substitute £16.20.

(3) In Schedule 3 to the Dental Charges Regulations (Band 3 Charges – Provision of Appliances) for paragraph (a) substitute—

(a) laboratory fabricated porcelain or composite veneers, including acid etch retention
