Section 1Citation, commencement and application
(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Abortion (Amendment) Regulations 2008 and shall come into force on the 21st April 2008.
(2) These Regulations apply in relation to England only.

Section 2Amendment of regulation 5 of the Abortion Regulations
In regulation 5 of the Abortion Regulations 1991 , for sub-paragraph (ii) of paragraph (a) substitute—
(ii) to the National Statistician duly appointed under section 5 of the Statistics and Registration Service Act 2007 or an employee of the Statistics Board (established under section 1 of that Act) authorised by the National Statistician
