Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Childcare (Voluntary Registration) (Amendment) Regulations 2008 and come into force on 5th May 2008.

Section 2 Amendment to the Childcare (Voluntary Registration) Regulations 2007

(1) The Childcare (Voluntary Registration) Regulations 2007 are amended as follows.

(2) After regulation 7 insert—

Annual fee payable by a registered person

(7A)

(1) The time prescribed for the purposes of section 89(1) of the Act is the day which is the anniversary of the date of a person’s registration under section 64(1) or (2) of the Act.

(2) The fee prescribed for the purposes of section 89(1) of the Act is—

(a) in the case of a person registered under section 64(1) of the Act, £100;

(b) in the case of a person registered under section 64(2) of the Act, £110.
